I didn't hear any disk activity and didn't see the disk light flicker so I figured the installation was hung-up and cancelled it. It then showed a window with a progress bar but after about ten minutes, the progress bar hadn't showed any progress. I clicked the OK button and the installation seemed to continue. However, it then told me I had the wrong operating system or OS version. I guess it upgraded because the installation started. It told me I needed a new version of the Windows installer and asked if I wanted to upgrade. I created a folder and unpacked to that folder.Īfter the files were unpacked, I launched the setup.

I said no because I didn't know how many files it would put there and I didn't want a lot of files on the Desktop. exe file I downloaded, the installer asked me if I wanted to unpack the file to the Desktop.

I tried to install OOo 3.0.0 on my Windows XP system but the installation failed.
